Sunday October 9th

Sunday dinner at it finest!
Sunday Gravy with creamy Parmesan cheese polenta, herb and garlic bread and chopped salad.

Sunday gravy which is the prize piece of this meal is:
1 flank steak, 1 pork roast, 1 pack of Italian sausages(cut in half) 2 cans of crushed tomatoes, 4 gloves of garlic sliced thin,1 tsp of cinnamon, parsley, basil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes.
Brown all the meats on all sides, leave the casings on the sausages ( you will remove them in the last 30 mins) add to crock pot with tomatoes and seasonings let cook for 4-6hours, last 30mins cook with lid off crock pot, take the meats out of the crock pot, you will need to shred the flank steak, shred the pork roast and remove the casings from the sausages leave sausages whole do not break them up, add back to the sauce and let the gravy cook for 30mins uncovered.

Sunday gravy at its best! It was amazing served over polenta but was also very tasty on bread of your choice, you can also put it over pasta of your choice, I used rigatoni for my children.

this is a slow cooked meal but the taste in the end is amazing and it is worth every moment of the that you have to spend on it.
